So I have lost my AirPods. I used them up at the gym 5 days ago and somehow have not seen them since. I am usually very careful with them but have no idea what I have done with them.

My question is this. On find my AirPods, it shows them as being offline and their old location as being at the gym. Does this mean no one has used them since? If someone had found them and opened the case would it show differently on the map? I am hoping as they don't appear to be online at all they are still able to be found somewhere. I am curious how it works and shows on the map if someone else takes your AirPods and tries to use them. Thanks all

The Airpods displayed their last location where they were used by time and location. The Airpods will show their location when they are out of the case and nearby. If the Airpods are in the case, out of range and it's closed, you won't be able to locate them.

Sorry that's not what I meant. Say someone found the AirPods and tried to use them. Would this show up on my find my iPhone?
