My wife and I are set up as a group in family sharing. Including iMacs, Macbooks, Watches, iPad, iPod, TV and AirPods, my wife and I have 14 Apple devices between us. 9 are mine and 5 are hers.

When I go into settings in iOS on my phone and click on my name I can see only 10 of the devices. My AirPods and my wife's iPhone, her Watch, and only one of her two Macbooks are listed. But when I go into 'Find My' on iOS I can now see 11 devices; her three missing devices are now there, as are my AirPods, but my two Macbooks and Apple TV are missing. So apparently I cannot now trace the location of my two Macbooks!!

In addition, two of my wife's devices are listed under my name, hence the title of this thread, see screenshot.

When I go into my wife's phone and look at the devices under Settings/name, I see only 8 devices, all five of my wife's, but missing all my devices except iMac and two Macbooks. When I click on my wife's 'Find My' devices, it lists 8 devices for me; 6 of them are mine, but two of them are my wife's listed under my name.

Totally confused? I've attached a spreadsheet and a screenshot...

I believe Find My groups the devices according to the iCloud account they are signed in to. I suspect your wife’s iMac 2012 and MBA 2023 are signed into your iCloud account.

The names displayed for each device are whatever is set in Settings > General > About.
