Find my friend v device

Find my friend shows my friend at my address yet the device ( iPhone ) shows the person at their actual location. The location of Find my friend has been static at my address for a week, that being the home location for a while now. It even states updated 2 mins ago. Yet locating them via their iPhone works as it should. Any reason why that is ? We’re sharing location via Family. Thanks.

Indeed. Both are iPhone 14 PM on iOS 17.1.1

Sounds like your friend might have Location Services disabled from time to time... or has "Find My Friends" app set to use Location Services "Only when using app" instead of "Always".

I’ve just checked mine and it only had these options.

BTW, the Apple's "Find My Friends" app is no longer avail in the App Store and its features rolled into the "Find My" app installed w/ iOS now. Perhaps you should consider switching.

I figured it out I think.. Their location was set to share their iPad not their iPhone. For find my .
