Find my friends live updates

Hello,

In IOS 15 we have a new live feature to track friends.
The only problem or bug is that it sometimes work, so you see the text Live with a green pulsing ring around the persons, but often it don't switch to Live.
What are the triggers to activate the Live tracking feature ?
More people with this issue or bug ?

I would say maybe they are in an area with a lack of decent mobile data service and until it reaches an area with service it won’t be able to ping an update.

They publicised ‘live movement’ much like WhatsApp but it isn’t working for me. We’re both in areas with full 5G signal, it’s full batteries, both iOS 15…. Yet location still updates only every few minutes. Really annoying.

I believe you have to tap on the contact you want to live track. The main page map doesn’t live track.
