Find my iPad keeps shutting off

I have iCloud on my iPad Mini and on my iPhone, both installed with iOS 7. Every day, I find my "find my ipad" off on my iPad (under iCloud). I would turn it back on and next time, I would find it off again.

I have tried resetting all settings, but that hasn't helped.

Have you tried a DFU restore?

I haven't tried restore. What is the difference between restore through iTunes and DFU restore?
