So, I thought this would be fixed by now but Find my iphone is still flawed.. there's not a simple way to add a restriction to avoid anyone turning off the Find my iPhone service. you can restrict changed to location services, and you can restrict the icloud account from being deleted.

They should have added a simple restriction "Keep Find my iphone always on".
What's worse: they added a new restriction for "Find my friends" so that no changes can be made.

Why did they make it so simple for Find my friends but not for Find my iphone?
I dont' get it.

'Settings App'=>'General'=>'Restrictions'=>'Allow Changes':'Accounts'=>'Don't Allow Changes'

Once you do that, shouldn't be able to turn 'Find My iPhone' off (if it was set to 'ON' before turning on the restriction). Although the restriction disables changing a bunch of stuff. Unless that is what you were complaining about.

Indeed. Plus if you restrct account changes, you can go to location services, turn it off, and there goes Find my iphone.

You would have to restrict both accounts and location services.
But then if you get a new app that requires location services, you would need to turn restrictions off, then run the app again, authorise, then back to restrictions.

It's plain annoying and stupid.
There should be an option to always leave find my iphone on even if you turn off location services.

Unfortunately I think that is to do with the big stink by the government not too long about about cell phone tracking. So then Apple made it easy to turn off all of Location Services with a single swipe. You want it to be easy to make it hard for others to turn off 'Find My iPhone'. That probably isn't going to happen for a while.

Honestly, if you've lost your iPhone and someone who is somewhat tech savvy found your phone, it doesn't matter if you have the Find My iPhone on or off.
