I've got DP3 running ... now cannot enable Find My Mac. Anyone else finding same issue? Any fixes? Is it the lost recovery partition?

I believe Find my mac requires a recovery partition and guest account (admin privileges).

DP3 and Find My Mac is fine located in System Preference. Is that where you are looking ? Recovery works find as well, I've tried it though it is not shown....Go figure

Could elaborate on "I've tried it though it is not shown ..." That's confusing me a bit. It looks like you can check mark it and it stays green. Did you do it through a guest account? Did you verify you have a recovery partition?

I installed Yosemite PB 3, and when things went south for me (twice), my mistake, not Yosemites, I just hit the Command key, and R, and away I went with the install again with Recovery though I could not see it in Disk Utility. It just worked

From now on I use Time Machine to make a complete back up to a 32 GB thumb dive, and I tried this for Yosemite to see if it works. I hit the Command and Option key to get things going, a box appeared that allowed me to click on Time Machine, and this took a few minutes with a SSD drive. All was returned to normal without going the Recovery method. I have two USB thumb drives, for Time Machine just in case one goes bad.

Hope this helps

I don't show a partition nor do I have a guest account, and my "Find My Mac" is shown....

Can you enable "Find My Mac?" Specifically, can you put a check mark in the box and have it stay green?

I have a line that says "Find My Mac." I can put a check mark in it ... but the check mark goes away immediately and doesn't tell me what is wrong and why it won't stay enabled.

..well ... I was able to enable Find My Mac ... here's how ... I created a guest account on my Mac... and then I logged out of my main account and logged back into my Mac using the guest account. I went to Settings/iCloud/Find My Mac and enabled it there ... then I logged out and back into my main account ... a voila ... a green box with a check mark in it on Find My Mac ... and I was able to track it and send a signal it with my iPhone ...
