So to activate the superb Find My iPhone we need to be running Location Services all the time? Well, that's a big No-No for power saving (so necessary with the iPhone battery). Is there no way to turn on Location Services remotely?

Does having Location Services on really affect battery life? The GPS only grabs your location in certain instances like when you take a photo or use maps. It doesn't mean that the GPS is always on, just always available.

Well, when I discovered how crap the battery was in my phone I did a lot of research on how to save power and turning off Location Services always seemed to be on the list (along with turning off Bluetooth, only getting mail once an hour, etc.)
