So I currently don’t have find my phone enabled on my iPhone. But I do have faceid and lock code active. If I lose my device can it still be re-used? I thought that faceunlock and my 6 digit security wouldn’t allow someone to be able to reuse my device if lost ?

If Find my iPhone is off, Activation Lock is off too. If you lose your phone it can be wiped and reactivated by others.

It can be wiped and reused. That is why I mentioned iCloud lock, which you don’t have turned on. All the information you needed was in the link I posted, if you bothered to read it.

”Activation Lock is designed to prevent anyone else from using or selling your device.*When you enable Find My on your device, Activation Lock is turned on automatically. Your Apple ID and password will then be required before anyone can erase your device or reactivate it.”

If you bothered to do a 20 second search, you could have read the same information I posted, that would have answered your questions.

Yes I read that article and in particular about activation lock which prevents the iPhone from being usable/ sold by someone else other than the legitimate owner.

My question was in relation to not having Find My active and if it could be used by someone other than the owner even with passcode and FaceID on the device enabled. Which I believe the answer to be yes, the iPhone can be used and resold even with FaceID and 6 digit code enabled on the device.

It can't be used as it is -- someone can't unlock it and access your data and use what you have on the device. However, they can erase it and set it up as new and use it that way (kind of as if they got a new device for themselves).
