iPhone Find My...

Has anyone had a play with the new ‘Find My’ app? I did try on my iPad but it said it couldn’t connect to the server...

How does it work? I have no intention of wanting to know the location of my friends/contacts and don’t want others with my contact number to know my location.

Have I missed something?

Service was down earlier.

You can turn off your location by tapping your icon in settings then, tap Find My. Turn the setting for show my location to off

You can turn off your location by tapping your icon in settings then, tap Find My. Turn the setting for show my location to off

And even if you had that turned on, you would still get notified that someone wanted to see your location and then agree to share it.
