So in the previous iOS you didn’t have to notify one of your friends if you set the app to alert you when they were leaving.. Now I’m not a stalker .. lol but we’re throwing a surprise birthday party for my wife and it would be great to know when she is leaving work without notifying her that I’m doing this . I don’t see a way to do this on iOS 13 iPhone , am I missing something?

You always alert them now unless you start the particular “follow” from their device.
