I have an Intel iMac with a 2 ghz processor, 250 gb hard drive, 1 gig of ram and a 20 inch screen. It is not runny nearly as fast as it did when I first got it and I think it's because of things taking up space on my hard drive which has only 87 gigs free . The problem is i don't know what is taking up all that space  and i was wondering if there is a program that can show me. Thanks.

87GB free is plenty, and isn't likely to be slowing anything down.

Use Activity Monitor to take a look at what's running when you feel it's acting slow.

You'd speed things up with more than 1GB RAM. Which iMac do you have? Try adding more RAM.

Of course, clearing cruft off your HD won't hurt - google for GrandPerspective or WhatSize.
