Hello. I have a couple of questions regarding my iMac.
I turned on my late-2012 21" iMac (10.8.5) for the first time in 2 months.
The computer was sluggish. And I opened the Finder while menubar apps were still loading. And when I tried to do search on Finder, it froze (spinning beachball). I had to secondary-click on Finder icon to select "relaunch Finder" to unfreeze the Finder. I opened the Console to see what it was, and it only said "Finder relaunch."
Does not using the computer for an extended period of time damage the computer?
Also, does the freeze of Finder damage/corrupt files? How do I know whether I have corrupt files? When the Finder froze, I was on a specific folder where I put all my important files...
Thanks in advance
