finder doesn't work! help!

Finder has quit working, I click on a folder or harddrive on desktop, all icons disappear and reappear. Same thing happens when I select open new finder window from menu bar. I even created a new account it does the same thing . 10.12.3

I rebooted and now everything works. no idea what happened

Could be your User Account is corrupt and it could happen again. Keep that in mind if it does.

Or trash the finder plist file in the system preferences folder
Then restart. It will return.

well I had rebooted several times, deleted plist and created new account. I went into safe mode and it worked, and it worked after reboot . ha. now for some reason when the screen locks, it wont accept my password , I have to switch users, I have the list of users on screen, then I click the one that didnt accept password, it will accept it from that screen
