Finder *help*

Hi all

Not posted on here in quite some time, having an ocd-esq issue and was wanting some help...

I hate how on finder I can't see the whole of a file names, especially with uni stuff it really bugs me.

I tried stretching the finder window so I can see the full file name, but every time I leave finder and go back onto it the darn thing resets itself and I only see a preview of the file name (all that fits).

Is there anyway for finder to remember how I like it set up? It's literally just on word document names where it really helps with seeing the whole file name.

Hope I've explained myself properly, wasn't sure on some of the tech terminology to use lol

Hold the option key down while resizing in Column view. Click on red button to close window. Reopen. It should remember your new settings.
