Hi everyone,

It seems that the Finder "Open in New Tab" behaviour has changed in 10.15. Whereas in 10.13, "Open in New Tab" would open a tab with the selected folder at the beginning, now it simply opens a new tab, with the same path as before

10.13:
path in first tab: folder1/folder2/folder3/folder4/folder5
ctrl-click on "folder3" opens a new finder tab with this path:
folder4/folder5

10.15:
path in first tab: folder1/folder2/folder3/folder4/folder5
ctrl-click on "folder3" opens a new finder tab with this path:
folder1/folder2/folder3/folder4/folder5

That kind of defeats the purpose, right?

I attached some screen shots to illustrate the issue,

best, geb

I'm on 10.15.5 and it work just like it did before the update. Maybe I am missing something in how you are doing this, but if I select a folder and open in new tab, the folder opens in a new tab with the correct path. Then, any folders contained in the folder just opened in new tab, can be opened in a new tab and the path is still correct.
