Hi there,

I am currently having some issues with my finder and require some help. Whenever I click on my finder, it always opens at "Games". I want to change the file destination to "Work" instead when I first click my finder whenever I turn on my laptop. I tried changing the Preferences-> New Finder windows show and the change only takes place when I open a new Finder Window (Cmd + N). However, I want to change the first file I open when I click on my finder icon.

Are there any advices for this?

Mine uses the "New Finder Windows" setting for the initial folder. Check Login Items, if there's a folder there it'll open on login, that might be causing this?

You could leave your work folder open, or
you could make a folder for work, and drag the folder into your dock for instant access, or
you could drag your work folder into your finder sidebar, so it would also be instantly available in any finder window, or
you could put an alias for your work folder on your desktop, where it would be quickly available to you, or
you could find your own way, convenient for YOUR use, to make you work folder/files available in a smart folder. Or
there must be more than a dozen different ways to do what you want. Choose one that works best for you...
