hi
in the current version of Sequoia, among other irritating things, this is what really irritates me:

in the finder window, I select an item and want to move it somewhere (for example, to another window, or to the Photoshop icon in the dock and open the file), but instead, for some mysterious reason, the selection is activated, so I can't move anything anywhere, only select files in the finder window - so if there are 100 files in the window, then as soon as I move one of them somewhere, it starts marking other files in blue and I can't do anything else with it

do you know why this exists and how to fix it? This is a completely new clean install of the system.
the only thing that helps me is force quit finder, but if this happens 10 times a day during a lot of work, I feel like killing the macbook..

thanks

this is not a common sequoia problem, so something specific with your setup.

try changing the Finder>View>Show View Options settings, and (as referenced by @zevrix, try changing your mouse or trackpad settings.
