Finder Lag Opening Files?

Is anyone else experiencing lag when opening a file in any application? Safari, iTunes, Mail, Pages - the beachball arrives and the app freezes for a few minutes before the window appears to select anything.

I've repaired permissions, granted permissions for my account to the appropriate folders, reset parameters, etc - advanced user, ran all the tricks of the trade. Nothing seems to have improved it.

Running 10.10 DP4 on a nMac Pro 8-Core w/16GB's RAM, dual AMD D700, 256GB PCIe boot (110GB's free), Promise Pegasus2 R4 array w/ 3 x 2TB Toshiba HDD's and 1x 4TB WD Black SATAIII (Time Machine volume).

Created a DP1 USB boot, considering a clean install as I need this volume for testing, but if this is common then there's no point in wasting a day.

I'm on the public beta and I am not experiencing this at all.

Looks like I may need a clean install. Ah, the memories of pre-10.7 beta's, when downloading and burning a new install was required biweekly.
