Finder not turning dark

Since I updated my MacBook Air to the Big Sur version, the dark mode does not turn the finder window dark. It is still in the light grey color as if light mode was active.

Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

Open "Terminal" and type in following command:

killall Finder

Press Enter and after that close the Terminal, check out if your Finder is dark now.

See if that helps.

Unfortunate, but don't give up.

Try log out or restart, if you haven't already.
