Hey all,
The Finder "Recent" bug is where you expect new files and documents to show up immediately in the list, but documents created by some apps just don't show up, or at least not until opened and closed again.
Just create a Numbers, Textedit or Pages document and it will shop up immediately in the Recent category in Finder.
Try an Excel or Photoshop document and it won't.
But after opening the Excel or Photoshop file, voilà there it is rightaway under Recent.
So... i'm wondering: has this been fixed in Ventura?
It would be nice to finally be able to create an Excel document, save it to disk, switch to Mail and add it as attachment from the Recent folder. Better yet, to include a drop-down box for attachment listing the 3 most recently added documents, like Windows has had implemented for years. Beware I'm not a Windows fan boy but I use it on my business laptop and this feature is - I think - the only thing Windows does better.
looking forward to your findings!
Pete
