Finder Recents entries disappeared and no longer update with new entries

Hi All,

My wife is going batty. She apparently relies heavily upon Recents in Finder and somewhere/somehow during the past few months, all of the entries disappeared and it no longer updates. Has anyone encountered this behavior and if so, how were you able to resolve it?

I tried removing both her local and the system cache entries under ~/Library and /Library and logged in under a different account and got the same result. She is running a 2015 MacBook 12" with the latest Mojave updates.

Maybe try booting into Safe Mode and back to normal mode as that will get rid of some of the system caches. Maybe also try resetting PRAM.

Tried both separately and no luck :/

I may try re-applying latest Mojave combo update next.
