Hi all,

Why is my Finder version not 10.8.3?

Because the operating system is at 10.8.3 and the Finder version hasn't been updated by apple to 10.8.3. Mine is off as well, I really don't think about it.

It always lags behind. Has been like that since when dinosaurs roamed the Earth.

Finder versions are not linked to the System version, and have been occasionally "off by one" for years in OS X.

In Classic Mac days, the Finder version was frequently higher than the System version number.
