Finder is constantly popping up a dialog which asks for my (administrator) password. The dialog says "Finder wants to make changes - Enter your password to allow this" with text boxes for User Name and passsword.
If I enter my password, it seems to accept it and then pop up the same dialog again. I have tried responding dozens (hundreds?) of times but without any apparent change. I know this problem is not new but the solution on Apple Discussion Forums which worked for others (Security System Settings) does not work for me.
I’m on a 2022 Silicon MacBook Pro, hoped the Sonoma upgrade would be the cure, but it is not.
Any suggestions how to see what happens under the hood? Console or something?
