Finder window opens on login

Kind of a "n00b" type question, but I can't figure this out.

Everytime I boot up, login, or relaunch Finder, a Finder window opens at the bottom right of the screen, always to the same folder which I was working in the other day. I didn't do anything unusual that I can remember, but I can't figure out how to make it quit opening on it's own.

There is nothing in my Login Items and I couldn't think of anything else to check.

Was the folder open when you last shut down? I *think* the Finder will open previously opened folders when it launches.

it certainly does, which I actually find really annoying.

We did have a power outtage today. Now that you mention it, maybe the folder was open when the power cut off. Hm.

I'll update this thread if the problem doesn't go away on it's own soon.

Just close the finder before your next shutdown.
