FindMy accuracy

About a month ago my phone was stolen . According to FindMy it moved from London to Dubai to finally china two days ago .
I had the phone set to erase since the day I lost it . Today I received an email saying

The erase of iPhone 13 started at 06:28 CST on 21 October 2024.

How is the date accurate and getting this email today ? And the phone moved to china only two days ago

I don’t know. I can only assume it’s a glitch on Apple’s end. The main thing is to not allow the phone to be used so I hope it is still listed in your Find My device list.

Yes still listed . I’m not removing it

It can be extremely inaccurate and delayed. It relies on other iPhones for location. If the dominant device is Android, like it is in the UAE, it won’t work well.
