I have Klipsch 3.1 Computer Speakers connected to Mac mini through headphone jack. Having an issue with Mac mini putting out too much bass. On a scale of 1 to 10, I have the bass set on the speakers at 1 and it is still way too much bass. Is there anyway to fine tune audio output levels? Had these speakers connected to a Dell XPS and had no issues what so ever.

What program are you using the play audio? I would guess this is related to the program more than the mini itself.

Haven't received my mini yet, but I tested other macs built in outputs against Focal Twin 6 studio monitors and they never had a frequency bias, and there are no devices i heard of that have anything like that built-in without an option to turn it off.

I suspect user error, check your iTunes (or whatever you have) EQ settings.
