Finger scanner not working

I updated my IP6Plus and brand new iPad Pro 9.7, and now my finger scanner isn't working. Apple store said it was known issue and to restore my devices..but I'm on a road for a month. Anyone have any suggestions?

What do you mean by not working? Touch id needs to be set up again if you restore your device. Its not included in your back up. In your new ipad pro, you need to set it up again.

Have you checked in the settings if your fingerprints are still saved?

Hi, yes, and I even recreated my finger prints. I thought it was the cold weather or dry skin...but now I'm in a warm place and still the same issue.

failing on one i can kinda understand if it's the device. failing on 2 devices for the same person? i'm thinking it's the person. have you tried with different fingers?

clean off the home button also, make sure there's no gunk built up

Apple Genius bar said it was a known issue..2 hour wait at the SOHO store.. so doubtful its me.

Phone is cleaned, has been working find for years.

Just deleted all my paw prints again on my iPhone and its working. Gonna try the iPad next.

Traveling, not so easy as being at home

Not heard of this. Can you ask a friend, co-worker to try their finger prints.

Have deleted fingers on my iPad and it light be working...need a few days to say for sure. Key might be deleting all finger prints
