my little mbp now has 250gb of space...well 190gig for OSX and 60 for windows XP...

the install had a few hicups we couldnt figure out how to get the keyboard off near the release of the lid, eventully we found out you just gotta keep pulling to pull the tabs loose, getting the old drive out and the new drive in was a piece of cake, it fit perfectly, i was hesitant at first about the "pull the keyboard and harddrive ribbon off of the logic board" becuase of the way it looks it dosent look like it just pulls right off but it does. and what a tiny connector...

Anyway putting it back together...another issue completly, i managed to get it back together fine, the keyboard set right back into place, great i though, just hold down the edges and put the screws back, well after getting it back together, the lid wasent locking. Wonderful, but ill work on that later, lets start installing OSX, ok, wtf my restore dvd isnt reading, and the dvd drive makes a funny crunching sound (it did this before too so i wasent that worried) anyway tried the restore DVD in my external DVD burner, no good file folder with a ?.

Screw this lets go watch a movie, well i picked up The Fountain at our brand new best buy yesterday...what an odd movie..anyway back to the MBP

pull the whole thing apart again, make sure nothing it broke, nope all looks fine, the keyboard is slightly bent in the front, not really bent just curved sligthly...well, putting it back together i realize, the clips on the front, have to be snapped (forecefully) back into place and lo and behold, that takes care of all my problems, so its now installing OSX and everything is nice and happy again..now i just need to figure out how to use bootcamp.
