Firefox deleted my tabs, is there a way to get them back?

I updated to the new photon Firefox on my iphone and it worked, but when I updated on the iPad I lost my opened tabs. Even worse it even deleted my bookmarks which I kept just incase an open tab gets deleted.

Is there any way I can get them back? I still have an iPad backup in iTunes, but I dont know if the solution is to do a complete iPad restore from that backup or is there a simpler solution?

I have PhoneView app, is it possible it can look at FireFox bookmarks from a backup?

Did you have Firefox Sync enabled? Any chance those tabs and bookmarks were saved to your Sync account?
