Whenever i use Firefox on my iPad, if I switch to another app and then back to Firefox, Firefox will automatically open up a new tab. I’d like it to stop, and just go to what I set it as in Preferences, or to what I’ve left open when I switched away from it. I’ve looked in Preferences and cannot find out how to stop it from opening new blank tabs by default.

Is there a way to stop it from doing this?

What iPad do you have? It's possible the iPad's running out of RAM and reloading Firefox.

I opened Amazon on Firefox and then switched between apps just now and I'm still on the Amazon tab when I switch back to Firefox (2021 12.9 M1/16GB).
