Am on Big Sur 11.5.2 using Firefox 91.0.1. I have multiple profiles in Firefox, and when I have two open and put one into full screen I have problems. When I close the full screen profile/browser, and go back to my desktop, unpredictable results will occur. I can't open or close other apps, sometimes the dock will refuse to open or the menu bar. To clear this issue I have to restart my macbook, and force reboot. Anyone seen this?

1. Do the problems go away if you force quit Firefox?

2. Do the problems occur with any other browser or app?

3. If not have you tried the Firefox forums?

Thanks, HDFan... Can't actually quit Firefox. The 'second' browser seems to be gone, and the original Firefox shows the little dot (if the dock will respond, which it does not always do...) and I can right click on it and select 'quit' but it has no affect. I have iStat so if the menu responds I can 'open' the activity monitor, but the window never shows up. It seems to start, and shows up in the dock with the 'active' dot, but I can never get it to come up so I can select and kill Firefox. Sigh. Have not tried other browsers, but...

Can't actually quit Firefox.

So activity monitor doesn't startup? Can you force quit Firefox from the apple menu?

Sounds like you have some other problem. How much memory/boot disk space do you have? How much is in use when you have the problem? Bring up activity monitor just after boot so you can get the memory info if it starts hanging.
