Hi, I just downloaded firefox for mac osx to see if I can watch music videos at launch on yahoo. But when I click on the firefox logo, the program doesn open. Am I useing it right? Is there something I'm missing?

Your question is too vague for anyone to speculate. Can you tell us in more detail what you did to install FireFox and how you are opening it or anything more?
I am not having any problems with FireFox for Mac and this is the first time I have used it for a Mac, Been using FireFox for PC for quite some time now though.

The downloading for firefox went fine. You lick on the firefox logo, to open the program... just as you would click on safari for it to start it. It would add itself to the dock, and bounce. But instead of opening a browser, after the couple of bounces, it would dissappear and wouldnt do anything.

just figured that one out for myself

As the resident apple master (I've possessed mine for all of 5 hours now :) ) I have the answer to your question:

When you double-click the firefox.img file, the system mounts it as a disc. Drag the resulting icon to the "applications" folder (or your home folder) and it will install itself. (It may or may not ask for 'authentication' first; administrator privileges are required to install applications for all users.) At least it worked that way on my iBook about 45 minutes ago.

Gawd I love this thing already.
