I'm using OS X.2.3 on a original SE iBook. I did a standard install of the Operating System from the CD. The problem I'm having is this.
I want to be able to access my mac from the UNIX computers we use in my CSCI class. I know this is possible through ssh and I have successfully done this. The only problem is when I try to turn on the built in OS X firewall. It gives me an error saying that I have other firewall software installed, and that I need to turn this off before I can use the built in OS X firewall. I'm pretty sure that I don't have any Firewall software installed on the computer, so I don't really know how to fix the problem. It would just make me feel better about leaving the ssh option on if I had the Firewall enabled.
The only software I have that might affect this is Norton Utilities, but I don't see how the OS would see any part of Norton as a Firewall.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.
