i was wondering if anyone else had this problem, I have a motu traveler hooked up to my macbook pro via firewire and it pops out whenever I move ever so slightly.

firewire cable keeps coming out

That happens for me with certain cables. If the plug is thick, try pushing it in pretty hard, or try a different cable. The thin Apple cables work flawlessly.
I was shocked at just how hard I had to push in the firewire cable that came with the My Book external hard drive. I thought I was gonna break something, but it was just as hard trying to plug it in to the drive itself.
