Hey to all of you

I have a perfectly working RME Fireface 400 Soundcard, which works great on my Macpro 2019 (and my M1 Macbook Air btw)

BUT... I have to use a TB3 to TB2 Adapter AND a TB2 to FW adapter. I could not find a direct TB3 to FW Adapter.

Does such a thing (TB3 to Firewire Adapter) exist? And if yes, where can I get it?

Alternatively I am looking for a good Firewire 800 PCIe Card for my 2019 MacPro?

Thank you very much :)

There is no direct Thunderbolt 3 to Firewire adapter. Just connect the two Apple adapters you already have, and you're all set... unless there's a particular reason you don't want to use that configuration.

I know that it works with the 2 Adapters, but it is not nice... It is dongle madness.
So I was looking if there may be some TB hub or something with firewire.

Still looking for a decent FW Card for the MacPro

OWC made Thunderbolt 2 and Thunderbolt 3 docks with FireWire but their new docks do not have FireWire. You could try placing a FireWire PCIe card inside a Thunderbolt 3 PCIe expansion box like the OWC Mercury Helios S3 or one of the Sonnet Echo Express SE I or SEL.

There are many FireWire PCIe cards. I've used this one:
https://www.newegg.ca/vantec-model-ugt-fw210-pci-express-to-1394-card/p/N82E16815287011
I'm not sure if it requires the molex power connection.
