firewire ports / busses on 17" MBP?

hey,
I'm still waiting on my MBP to arrive, but I'm just wondering... the machine has 2 firewire ports, a 400 and an 800, and 2 USB ports. Does anyone know if the firewires run on a seperate bus? It'd be a bit annoying if not, as I use a firewire sound card and hard drive, so hooking up devices to each port would potentially give latency on the sound.
anyone out there know?

As you can see from the developer note the two ports share a single controller that is connected via a single PCI link.

<edit> Personaly I use both firewire ports on a G4 quick silver one for a sound card other for HDD and dont have a problem.

I believe Apple's desktop computers have each port on it's own bus.
