Firewire support in XP?

Are Firewire drives supported in XP/BootCamp?

If I put an iBook in Target mode would XP recognize it as an external Firewire HD automatically like in OS X? Could I transfer a Windows file from the iBook into XP on the Intel Mac?

XP does support firewire, however it can't read OS X partitions, so I don't think you'd be able to put an iBook into target mode and work like that.

However, I do remember reading about some software that let XP read OS X partitions, a quick google search might help you there.
