Fireworks: export & retain slices?

Does anyone know how to export and retain "slices" from Fireworks to Photoshop? Someone has created the "slices" within Fireworks but I only have Photoshop and need to access those "slices". They exported the file as a PSD and although it retain the layers it did not retain the "slices". Is there a way to do this? Thank you!

What version of Fireworks and Photoshop is being used? With CS4 (what I'm using right now) I can export as PSD, open in Photoshop, then View>Slices and they appear.

yeah... I'm on CS3 but to be quite honest, I'm not sure what version of Fireworks the clients web devs are using. I'm trying to hold out getting CS4 due to the upgrade cost at the moment but I suppose I might have to bite the bullet. Hmmm.
