I've update my orginal iPhone to firmware 2.2 and now it's re-locked... It's a AT&T phone and I am using a Rogers SIM in Canada.

When I try restoring my phone using the pwnage tool for 2.2, I keep getting an "error 21" and the restore quits.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a fix? Downgrade? Use older version of iTunes?

Please help!

I tried restoring using the pwnage tool (2.2.1) and I keep getting "error 21".

Am I missing something? Yellowsnow vs pwnage?

ok... ;)

So bootneuter is part of pwnage tool right?

Any ideas?

1. Upgrade iTunes to latest version.
2. Upgrade iPhone to 2.2
3. Use Quickpwn to jailbreak and unlock

If you have a Mac and are running 10.5.6 then you'll need to do something else. Are you using a Mac?

I am using a Mac... Leopard.

Right. The fix is simple:

1) Do a DFU restore to stock 2.2 firmware.

2) Build a custom firmware using PwnageTool. Enable hacktivation. I'd recommend BL 3.9. Enable unlocking as part of the neutering process.

3) Do a DFU restore of the custom firmware.

That should take care of it.

Success.

Ok, so I used quickpwn for windows and this work no problem.

So... I had tried the full pwnage tool and this wouldn't work. Is quickpwn better or something? Also, windows vs mac could be the difference??

This is the method that I described in my OP. While doing the restore of the custome firmware, I kept getting error 21. I wonder why?

what's hacktivation?

Me too, I´m the same spot that you are. I even tryied the Dev teams suggestion of downgrading to 10.5.5

does anyone know how to downgrade iTunes version???
