Firmware upgrade 1.2 killed my Thunderbolt controller

After
Thunderbolt Firmware upgrade 1.2 installed.

"Thunderbolt: No hardware was found."

i tried the official Apple solution (turn off mac and disconnect ... )

Time for a visit to the Apple Store, methinks...

If nothing else changed (except for the firmware), perhaps they have the "software fix" that can either properly update it, or get it back to "where it was" before you ran the firmware update.
