Really need help, people.
I have a 2G, First Gen, 16gig iPhone, that was unlocked and jailbroken by me via ZiPhone with 1.1.4 firmware some months ago. Installed a bunch of beautiful apps, used it with T-Mobile without a hitch, that is until I decided that it's time to upgrade to 2.X.X. Downloaded PwnageTool after updating iTunes to 8.0.2, followed all the steps in the instructions... and the phone is now locked with the: "The SIM card inserted in this iPhone does not appear to be supported" message. I would be perfectly happy to go back to 1.1.4 thru ZiPhone, but have already tried that to no avail. So I don't even have a phone now.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

unless ZiPhone did something irreversible to your phone, I think you just could upgrade to 2.2 via iTunes and unlock+jailbreak if needed via Pwnage Tool(I think you have to tick "activate" or something similar).
oh, and since your phone ran 1.1.4 it's a First Gen, 2G=EDGE as opposed to 3G=UMTS(Second Gen)

Hey, thanks for trying.
With a TMobile SIM iTunes won't do anything until the phone is unlocked, and with ATT original SIM it asks for activation and a 2 year contract.
I believe the phone now already has the 2.2, but failed to unlock at the end of download.
