I had a search on this and came up with little. There has been some limited discussion of easter eggs on the iPhone in the past. There is apparently some Burning Man imagery in the app Earthscape. But it isn't clear that this was specifically meant as an Easter Egg.
I was playing around with an application that facilitates the game of 20 Questions called iQ recently found a clear Easter Egg that changes the functionality of the application.
iQ basically lets you play the game of 20 Questions with another person by feeding you ideas for secrets and helping you keep track as the other person guesses.
If the person gets it right, the application shows trivia about the secret like, for the secret is "Flamingo" the trivia is "Flamingo beaks are adapted to separate mud from tasty brine shrimp."
iQ isn't too flashy, but I've managed to kill time with a friend playing it a few times so far.
Anyhow, there is an option in the application to add a new secret and trivia item to the library. I went ahead and typed in the words: "easter egg" and boom a dialog box popped up saying "congratulations! you unlocked the easter egg"
Then it shows the secret "Easter Egg" with text below it describing what easter eggs are in the software context. From then on, you can view all of the trivia in the application simply by clicking the choose a new secret button.
I can't imagine that this is a really popular application, but has anyone else seen this? Some of the trivia is kind of funny.
Here's a link to the developer's page on the app.
