Hi guys, I have every type of product from Apple but never bought an ipad.

I just ordered a 11 Pro M1 with pencil and black folio(and an ESR glass protector.. hope it will not disturb the pencil to make notes at least.. have you ever used this? .. I’m not an artist)

I can’t wait to use it with sidecar to control Logic Pro x and Photoshop, and in general as a second monitor, plus on the treadmill with fitness plus.. watch movies on the bed, etc..

How do you usually setup it?

My dream is to have it as a big size iPhone, so I want to seamlessly pick it up and keeping doing what I was doing on the iPhone but with a bigger screen, split view and the pencil.

What is the best way? Restore it from iPhone backup? I already have full enabled iCloud, so for contacts, notes, photos.. it should mirror these no fuss.
I think the main problem is with the app and their data, not to mention WhatsApp that still doesn’t have an app……

Really open to suggestions!

Thanks so much in advance for the help

WhatsApp can be used on the iPad with the web page interface. It works as well as the app.

With regard to everything else I would suggest you setup your iPad from scratch.
It is much more than a large screen phone. There are numerous pro level apps that can take better advantage of the power of your iPad.
Music production, video editing, photo editing, drawing and sketching, etc…

I’d also recommend to set it up fresh, then get the individual apps you need and build a fresh workflow as you go along.

Regarding WhatsApp just make sure to join the multiple device beta on the iPhone first.
