Got my Black Macbook today. Very excited overall. I've never upgraded from one Mac to another Mac before.

Setup/Migration Assistant worked very well I thought. After connecting the FW cable and booting the Powerbook in target mode, I clicked everything but the applications and 30 - 40 minutes later, my MacBook finished powering up and looked just like the Powerbook I left.

Once convinced the system is working OK, I upgraded to memory to the matched 1GB sticks I got from OWC. The process is a little more difficult than I sort of expected it to be. The levers to eject the old memory felt flimsier than I thought and the new memory went in hard. Plus there is a gasket on the L-bracket that I sort of had to stuff in there. But, the system rebooted and has been running great.

No wierd sounds, very quiet, seems cool enough, but I'm only running Safari. Screen is amazing (remember I'm coming from a TiBook). I hardly notice that the screen is much smaller than my 15" (that TiBook was 1280 x 854 and the new is 1280 x 800, so not much difference really...

Seems really fast too...

Just thought I'd share a bit...
