BTW: if your considering the lens for a nikon mount try it out in the store, don't buy online, it seems that some of the lenses are really soft at the edges while some are sharp, as far as I know this only effects the nikon mount version of this lens.

Somewhat larger versions can be found in my flickr photo stream

if you want to see larger/fullsize pictures then pm me

Beautiful captures... all of them!
Clearly Macro has taught you a lot about perspective and its visible in these captures!
I especially like the 2nd and 4th!

Nice. I just got the Canon 10-22mm and it's quickly becoming my favorite lens. The ultra wide angle really opens up new possibilities by exaggerating the perceived space between objects

Oh man sorry I forgot to mention where these were taken.

The first 3 were at Red Rock in Las Vegas

The Water Tower is southern california off a canyon road called Turnbull Canyon (lots of crazy info about turnbull comes up if you google it), if you want to know exactly where the tower is let me know and I can point it out on google maps.

And the rest of the pictures are at hoover dam.

Thanks for the comments so far guys :D

I love the perspective of wide angle, and 10-24 means you can go from super wide to normal with one lens.

I like #4 the best

Very nice but I feel a few of them could do with some foreground interest.

Just seems to be an element missing to me and I think most of them would benefit from this extra dimension.

Hey. I'd love the forth one as a wallpaper for my computer if you don't mind. You can throw a water mark in the corner if you want.

Well the problem with the 4th picture is that the horizon isn't level, its a hill, but my picture was also a little off too so that made it look even worse, I tried to level it out in the high res ones uploaded below.

But yea here are 1920x1200 versions of the 4th shot, I uploaded two versions, one where I messed with the white balance a bit to give it a more natural look and a higher res version of the previous one I uploaded.

My attempt to make it look more natural

People near Whittier in Southern California area should really check it out up there, I haven't had the chance to explore everything up there yet, if you do go up there I wouldn't go up their by yourself, there are a lot of joggers up there but also a lot of gang bangers that go up there to get high.

Nice pics. Btw is your flickr photostream all with this same lens too? I love your macro pics. I def want either this lens or I've also been looking at the sigma 17-70mm f2.8 w/ macro.

I made a new set, all the ones in the wide angle set are new pictures taken with the tamron 10-24mm on my D90, , all the pictures in the old set were taken with my Canon Rebel XT about a year ago, I sold it with the canon 60mm macro lens so I don't have a nikon macro lens yet, I might pick up a Tamron 90mm macro next week for my D90.

Or is that Valley of Fire state park?

Awesome shots by the way.

No its not the valley of fire, last time I went to Vegas I had to decide between going there or Hoover Dam, as you can see I didn't go there lol. The valley of fire does look like a awesome place though, I plan on going there next time im in Nevada.
