Is it that bad?
I personally like the look and feel of the case. It’s soft and a bit squishy, and the aluminum buttons are great. The sides of the case feel really durable and grippy.

When I bought Apple’s leather case a while back, the corners were badly scuffed after a few months, and it quickly discolored after a year. Leather is also prone to scratches.

I dig it. I can’t wait to feel it with a phone in it. I have an older phone so I can’t really test it out, haha.

I don’t understand the love for Apple’s leather cases in recent years - they seemed cheap and the colour was superficial…

Yes, it’s that bad. I tried the blue and sierra - the colors are ok, but muted. It’s a weird texture that looks cool, but doesn’t feel great. The inside of the case is the same material as the outside, but I was expecting microfiber lining.

Also, there is extra glue near most of the buttons and around the lanyard openings (which I also dont like). If it wasn’t for the Apple logo I’d have guessed this was a dupe and should be about $20 not $60+ tax.

I decided to go with the Andar Aspen. Hoping that is a good one, but im also open to other suggestions?

My Andar leather case is three years old and still looks and feels great. It will outlive my phone :)

The TechWoven does look interesting. Hopefully we’ll get some longer term reviews in a few months. Then I can decide if I want one next year.

Thanks, I still have my Techwoven (I know it will fit perfectly, buttons, etc), but dont love it. Hoping the Andar is as good as your experience!! Thanks for the insights!

Just received mine. The sides feel very slippery and wish it had the same finish as the back. Not sure I will keep it.
