First Macbook with LED backlight?

Which was the first Macbook with LED backlight technology?

A friend of mine argues that his late 2008 aluminium body Macbook (note: not Macbook Pro) doesn't have LED backlight, but I believe it has, or was it introduced right after with the "white plastic" Macbook?

I believe it was the mid-2007 15" MBP that was the first to have an LED-backlit screen, and yes the 2008 aluminum MacBook has an LED-backlit screen.
