For those of us in America who weren't lucky enough to have MMS enabled early or didn't hack to get it, how are you going to react tomorrow once it comes out? I'm going to send as many as possible just to spite AT&T, if their network doesn't crash before I can update

Eh I have a bunch of pictures of fall here that have been accumulating. I'll send them to my mom, dad, and two sisters.

That is, if I get to my PC tomorrow to download the carrier update.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7C144 Safari/528.16)

It's just sad and pathetic that some people think the way they do as evidence by the OP.

Sure - stick it to AT&T. Nevermind that while you're doing that, you're also sticking it to everyone else at the same time.

And for those who say AT&T broke their promise. And I agree. But you know what - it's by two frickin' days. Get over it. Seriously.

If MMS is SOOOOOOOO important to you that you can this upset by it and at AT&T then you need perspective.

I'm going to react the same way I did in this thread:

Edit: Nope, it was DiamondMac.

I most likely will use is it only in rare instances and even then probably only when I receive one. I prefer to email pics and vids as it seems like the quality and reliability are better. In my experience the majority of the MMS messages I've received(when I had a compatible phone) were junk, forwards and jokes anyway.

What good is it to spite AT&T? If MMS is that important just use it. In another day you'll forget you never had it.

Three frickin' days to be specific. :p

I already did this, thanks to the 5.1 ippc hack, but the first thing I sent was a picture of my junk to my friend who always bashed me for iPhone's lack of MMS saying "What now, B****!"

I'm actually quite looking forward to never hearing "what the hell!? How does your phone NOT get pictures??" again.

It's just as frustrating and embarrassing now as it was the first time (which really isn't all that much but who likes frustration and embarrassment in any quantity?).

For your friend's sake I hope you're a clean shaven chick.

Well I've had it since Wednesday and sent two and received one in the matter of 10 minutes just to see if it was working. ;D

I will be sending the following awesome pic to everyone in my address book...

You should have done this thread as a poll...

What will be your first MMS picture after the "official" update?
  • Picture of your junk
  • Picture of you giving the finger
  • Picture of you giving the finger in front of an ATT store
  • Picture of somebody elses junk
  • Mirror Full frontal
  • Your cat (not naughty)

That list should cover pretty much every conceivable use for MMS picture messaging.

First, please explain how we're "sticking it to everyone else"

Second, I'm sorry I hold people to their promises. If I say I'll have something by a certain date, I will have it by then, at the latest

And third, it's not "SOOOOOOOO important" to me. But as stated above, I appreciate it when people keep their promises. And considering my iPhone is kind of important to me, I want it to perform to its full potential

Would you rather have it on time, or working?

And by intentionally clogging up the network as much as possible - and inciting others to do the same in an effort to bring it to a halt - how selfish are you NOT to see you're sticking it to everyone else?

You don't solve problems by abuse. You're like one of the kids in my neighborhood years ago who thought he was sticking it to family who put out halloween candy in a basket outside their door when they went out of town and had a note saying "please take one" - and they took the entire basket leaving none for other visitors.
