Hey guys, just wanted to make a special post to commemorate my new method of posting on here with the arrival of my brand, spankin' new 24" iMac! I was slightlyl disappointed to see some discoloration on the sides of the screen upon bootup (grayish color on the white start-up screen), but past that it's hard for me to notice anything of the sort. I'm gonna spend the rest of the day getting acquainted with the new member of my family and will probably post some more if I have any questions. Thanks in advance if I happen to bug any of you tonight!

~David

P.S. Man I love this keyboard!

yeah!

It's a drag about the 24" (mine too) backlighting but I must agree the keyboard is so cool!!!!!!!

I was kinda worried about it initially after reading all the gripes on here, but once I get past that boot-up screen and onto my desktop, I don't notice anything. Really like others have said, unless you are big into graphic arts and photo shopping, casual users shouldn't have any problem with it. My eyes are still adjusting to this HUGE display though!

Agreed

Woot! you got it finally. Not to worry about the screen, not like you work on it in boot up. No matter what I think the screen is perfection.

Wow, this totally deserves a thread. I had an oreo earlier, maybe I should make a thread for that, too.

Sweet dude, congrats. I love my 20"

Jealous!!
Congrats on an awesome machine. What? no pics?

Yeah for two reasons I suck:

1) Was so damn excited that I didn't even think about it
2) After I realized I didn't take any opening pics I went to get my camera only to realize that it was dead and I couldn't find the charger.

Sorry guys!

I noticed you have an iPod classic. Have you ever noticed that it's missing some pixels in the far right upper corner? My point is the only way you will truly enjoy your new iMac is to stop reading the negatives on these threads. Honestly if there is anything really wrong with your iMac you will see it blatantly without effort. Nothing's perfect and I'll bet anything you have purchased will have a flaw that someone will find. So just enjoy your new beauty, I love mine, it's the best computer I have ever owned.

BTW, relax, I have never seen the iPod classic or heard of any issues, I was just making a point. :)

You're right, that does suck. I have owned Macs for years and never took one pic of the grand opening. On the arrival day of my new iMac I charged up the battery on my digicam was ready when Fedex arrived. :D
